Event Description The Reception starts at 4pm on Sun., Oct. 1st. The 36th annual exhibit of The Art Glass Association of Southern California will be held from Thurs., Sept. 28 to Oct. 9, 2017 The art glass will be on display daily from 11:00 to 4:00 at Studio 21 in the Spanish Village Arts Center in Balboa Park and the public is invited to come see this exciting exhibition free of charge. The Reception will be Sunday, October 1st from 4 to 7 PM. The Art Glass Association of Southern California is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1981 in San Diego, CA. Members of the association sponsor workshops, teach techniques, and offer educational trips to studios and businesses related to all aspects of the glass arts industry. Gayle Tunney, Show Chairperson said: “This year we are excited to celebrate our 36th year as an organization. We now have over 180 members and continue to grow.” The AGASC is dedicated to promoting the education of the glass arts to the public.”

Event Description Art San Diego with presenting sponsor UBS Financial Services, returns to San Diego Sept. 28-Oct. 1 for its ninth year. Held for the last eight years in Balboa Park, this year’s show moves to a larger venue with ample parking: the Wyland Center at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The four-day show will feature 60 galleries and 500 studio artists from around the world showcasing their paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, videos and cutting-edge multimedia artworks. Since its inception in 2009, Art San Diego has seen the sale of more than $10 million of artwork, showcased more than 15,000 art pieces and exhibits, and hosted over 100 Art Talks and special Art Lab installations. Art San Diego has become one of the leading cultural events in Southern California with its site-specific art projects, panel discussions, specially selected emerging artists and networking opportunities for talented established artists, art collectors, publishers and top galleries.
