February 27 - March 29, 2009
Opaque Displays is an exhibition of three new sculptural objects marking the artist’s first solo exhibition in San Diego. The work in this exhibition explores the craft, presentation, lore, and machismo of post-minimalist American art. The installation is comprised of three vitrines containing mechanical dioramas re-presenting works of art by Robert Smithson, Gordon Matta-Clark, and Chris Burden.
In coordination with North Park Nights, a neighborhood initiative bringing arts and culture to the community. |
