Event Description

All are welcome to this new bi-monthly event presented by SPACE 4 ART. Artists in all mediums are invited to present one of their works for a 10-20 minute group critique with SPACE 4 ART tenant artists and local artists. This informal gathering will allow time for each artist to get invaluable direct input on their artwork from their peers while offering the public an insight into an art form of it’s own. As the group defines, analyzes, interprets, and evaluates guests are encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts.

“Electic Eye” an exhibition of fine art photography by award winning artist Jeffrey R. Brosbe runs from Wed. August 14th through Mon. August 26th, 10 am to 5 pm daily, at Gallery 21 in Spanish Village, 1770 Village Place, Balboa Park, San Diego, CA 92101, with a reception on Fri. Aug. 16th, from 5 - 7 pm. The exhibition is free and open to the public. The title of the exhibition refers to the Brosbe’s unique, myriad vision that spans several decades. Attracted to light and lines, his subject matter is nature, portraits, abstracts, street photography and more. Whether black and white or intense color, high impact or quiet contemplation, all the images in the show communicate a wide range from a wry, ironic smile to awestruck. As a way of thanking current and future patrons, all work on display is discounted 50% during this retrospective celebration. Event Description

Just like old bands going back on tour with their hit music, there are also artists collecting their earlier artworks to show off again. Thumbprint Gallery presents the upcoming art show, â€œOldies But Goodies,â€ at Quality Social on August 14. â€œOldies But Goodiesâ€ is a group exhibit showing previous artistsâ€™ past works, some of which have been featured at Thumbprint Gallery in past shows. By putting them up on display again it gives the art a second chance to make an impression. There will also be a Pop-Up Boutique and Fashion Show presented by VIXEN productions. Quality Social is located at 789 6th Ave. in downtown. The event starts at 7pm and there is no cover for the event.
