San Diego Book Arts, a nonprofit organization open to everyone interested in the art of the book, is hosting our 19th Annual Membership Meeting on Sunday, January 18th from 1:30 - 4:00 pm at the La Jolla Riford Branch Library (7555 Draper at Pearl Street).
This meeting is open to members and non-members alike — please join us!
Genie Shenk will be our special guest presenter. Initially a fibre artist, her interest in paper, collage, and text coalesced in a focus on book structure after she received an MFA from UCLA in 1990. Her works have been publicized frequently and shown widely in the United States and beyond. Her books are included in numerous library collections, including those of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the La Jolla Athenaeum, the Getty Research Center, Stanford University, the University of Washington, the University of California (San Diego) and the Tate London. |
