R.B. Stevenson Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of "Tim Craighead new and recent paintings" by California artist Tim Craighead.
This exhibition open with a opening reception to the artist Saturday August 22nd, from 5 to 8 pm. and will remain on view through September 12, 2026. Gallery will be open at noon for early viewing.
Tim Craighead’s paintings and works on paper occupy a compelling space between abstraction and representation, using layered gestures, luminous color, and evocative forms to explore memory, landscape, and personal experience. Rather than depicting recognizable scenes, his compositions suggest fragments of the natural world allowing viewers to move between the familiar and the unknown. His work is ultimately about evoking an emotional and contemplative state, inviting viewers to discover meaning through the interplay of color, gesture, and symbolic form. |
