Event Description	Opening art reception at Liberty Station Artist June Rubin, inspired by her dream about “diamonds in the veins”, has created a whimsical series of mixed media artworks that include faux gems delineating the veins of not only blue and purple leaves, but also sparkling bananas floating in a pale blue sky. Event Description

The Japanese Friendship Garden (JFG) presents an exhibition of San Diego’s artist Kathleen Kane-Murrell “First Sight Kyoto, Ichigo Ichie” inside the JFG Exhibition Hall. The artist presents her first sight and moment through her Western sensibility. Her works repeatedly use the contour of a Western dress to capture particular places and experiences found in her travel journal which recorded her moments of delight she wishes to share.
