Event Description

ArtHatch and Distinction Gallery are excited to present a Studio Artists Exhibition featuring the collective art of their very own in-house ArtHatch Studio Artists. Highlighting a wide range of work from original paintings, photography, and other mixed media, this exhibit is a representation of the broad spectrum of current local San Diego artists. Over 30 emerging and accomplished artists will come together to present their artistic voices and inspirations and give rise to a diverse and creative show. The Opening Reception with Live Music will be held on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 from 6-10pm. Studio artists within the ArtHatch building will have their studios open to the public as well. The exhibition will run from July 13th through August 3rd, 2019. The opening reception with the artists, live music, open studios, Craft Beer, and BK Cellars wine will be on Saturday July 13th, from 6-10pm.

The Official GRAND OPENING of the new Del Mar Art Center Gallery will be from 5:00 to 8:00 on Saturday, 13th of July and from 3:30 to 8:30 on Sunday, 14th of July. This semi-quiet week between the close of the San Diego County Fair and the opening day of the Del Mar Race Track is a perfect time to enjoy the tranquil beauty of local art & artists. Event Description

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, July 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. to celebrate the exhibition for July and August of 2019 at the Athenaeum Art Center in Logan Heights. The event is free and open to the public. The exhibition features watercolors by Claudia Dominguez and is entitled “The Making of a Graphic Novel--More Than Money.” Dominguez, who was born in Mexico City and moved to the United States at the age of 19, uses the graphic novels genre to explore complex societal issues through personal stories. The exhibition will run at the Athenaeum Art Center from July16 through August 29. The AAC is open Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Event Description

Creativity is the rocket fuel that propels us toward new horizons, and accessible technology allows us to share our unique stories with each other like never before. Brian Kesinger is an artist, author, and filmmaker whose journey of self-discovery led him from working with some of the world’s most famous movie, television, and theme park personas (at Walt Disney Animation Studios, Marvel, and Lucasfilm) to creating popular characters all his own (including Otto and Victoria, Penned Dragons, and Jasper J. Pumpkinhead). His family-friendly, world-premiere OMA exhibition (presented in association with Baby Tattoo Carnival of Astounding Art) invites visitors to engage, interact, and create work that will become part of the show alongside the illustrations, sculptures, and animations on display. Kesinger’s story is a universal call to action for dreamers and visionaries everywhere.
