Katya Mezhova brings traditional art instruction in composition, color and perspective to artists working at all levels. In each class you will create works from still life set-in ups by drawing or painting in acrylics what you see. Katya will give you personal corrections to heighten your creative skill set and develop techniques to improve your art.

Katya Mezhova learned her craft from Russian Academic Tradition, which is the way art has been transmitted over the centuries since the Italian Renaissance. Passionate about live Jazz, She is locally known for her growing body of work documenting musicians in San Diego music scene. Katya is a regularly exhibiting artist at The Studio Door, where her work is for sale.

Event Description 201B Mandeville Center, UC San Diego /// The Undergraduate Studio Honors Program of the UCSD Visual Arts Department will be opening their doors to the public on March 11, 2020 from 2:00-6:00 pm. Each year top students are selected by the faculty to join the Honors Program. This event will display the newest artworks made by this select group in recent months. The works on view display a wide breadth of mediums and concepts and as a whole demonstrates a dynamic group of young artists with distinct voices. The included artists are: Lucy Bell, Jose Benitez, Michael Kalisz, Tula Oliver, Xiaoyu Ren, Lisa Resendiz, Pengbin Sun, Leslye Villaseñor, Megan Winegar, and Yan Yu.
