Event Description |
From July to November 2020, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) will host virtual Charlas, talks in Spanish, related to themes of Chicanx, Latinx, and Border Art in conjunction with the online exhibition “To Tame a Wild Tongue: Art after Chicanismo.” The Charlas feature exhibition curator Alana Hernandez in conversation with exhibiting artists on Instagram Live.
Join the Charla on Thursday, August 20 at 11am with Claudia Cano. Working in photography, film, and performance, San Diego-based Claudia Cano explores issues of labor, gender, and inequality. Focusing on the home and labor associated with the domestic sphere, Cano brings visibility to an often invisible Latinx workforce.
