Event Description |
As a bridge between Art and Eco activism, Seed Bombs are a form of guerrilla gardening that aims to benefit our ecosystems regardless of rural, suburban or urban settings.
In this workshop inspired by Getty PST initiative and the Helen & Newton Harrison: California Work exhibition, participants will create seed infused paper using recycled scraps and wildflower seeds native to southern California. When placed in an open natural area, these will spread the seeds and help our ecosystem. Participants can explore paper making with a mould and deckle, or use pulp to sculpt small sculptures, while also discussing the exhibition's theme addressing the unique flora of the Pacific Coast, deforestation and how you can help in conservation!
