For cancer patients/survivors. Keeping Nature as a connecting thread, we’ll be playing & learning together, adding an artful dimension, & embodied mindful awareness for personal self-exploration & self-expression. Spending time in nature, even just looking out the window or enjoying breathing fresh air, walking in a park or barefoot on the beach reminds us that we belong to nature.
Art can help us relax, find joy in playing & exploring, find a mindful focus, help express our thoughts and feelings, & can help us reflect, generate purpose, new ideas & choices, & support our decision making.
The symbolic quality of art making helps to view the changes as part of life’s journey & to create a sense of meaning & control over the circumstances that lie ahead. We encourage you to participate in all sessions within a particular series; however, we understand that you might miss sessions or join once the series is already underway due to priorities in your care. 8 weeks on Fridays in person/zoom |
