“Altered Echoes begins with the idea that what returns is never exactly what left. Across dreamlike spaces, familiar forms recur and shift – vines echo threads and wires, flowers bloom alongside bones, and human emotions surface through creatures, bodies, and imagined forms. Beneath it all is a tension between growth and decay, connection and separation, and the things that feel instinctive even when they can’t quite be explained. An echo is recognizable because something of the original persists, but it is also changed by distance, time, and what it encounters along the way. These paintings live somewhere in that space between continuity and transformation.” - MEGAN TSAI |
