SDAI's most visible activity focuses on showcasing the work of San Diego emerging area visual artists through a program of over 30 juried shows a year, (Regional Show, Special Outreach Shows, Youth Art & others). Different art professionals are selected as jurors for each show assuring exhibitions of high quality and great variety. Jurors' Choice and Honorable Mention certificates are awarded at monthly public receptions. |

In October SDAI has invited artists to create site specific installations for a future where they envision a society in which there are no boundaries between the local and the global. Artists are invited to collaborate and help these artists realize their projects for the exhibition Beyond Limits, Help artist Cesar Cornejo build his “Urban Mountain” by collecting and contributing discarded furniture and materials, assist in the actual creation of artists’ work at SDAI in September, or host artists in your home!
