Join curator Alessandra Moctezuma and artist Julia C R Gray for a virtual discussion covering the inspiring origin story and powerful artwork featured in OMA’s exhibition Twenty Women Artists: NOW. Hosted by OMA’s exhibition manager and registrar Katie Dolgov, this program will explore the unique ways artists can come together in times of great social change to capture the moment and to provide a way forward. Learn about the artists’ approaches as individuals as well as the strong sense of community and support forged around the group, resulting in a profound and timely collection of artwork that explores the many challenging conditions women face today.

Event Description Join ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station for a special Creative Conversation event featuring Benito Bautista Executive Director and Co-Founder of San Diego Filipino Cinema on April 22 from 6pm-7pm via Zoom. Linda Caballero Sotelo, Executive Director at New Americans Museum will join the panel discussion focusing on issues of non-profit programming during a pandemic, discoveries of present stories and issues for filming, future collaborative projects in ARTS DISTRICT, and much more. The Panel discussion will be moderated by Andrew Waltz, NTC Foundation Director of Programs.
