Opportunity Description |
Second Act
Exhibit dates: May 20- July 7, 2018
Front Porch Gallery seeks submissions from artists making art as part of their own Second Act.
What is a second act? It may be defined as:
Something a person devotes his life to later in life, after retiring or quitting his original occupation
Did you spend some or all of your career in another field? Doctor, lawyer, scientist, teacher? Maybe you were in the commercial art world or in sales or management? Had you always wanted to make art but were too busy supporting a family and finally had time to give it a go? Are you returning to a passion from your youth? Did you discover you were an artist and never really knew it or explored it as an option? Whatever your story, we want to hear from you! We have seen many wonderful artists over the years who started out doing something other than art who became devoted, successful
creatives.
We invite you to submit 3 original artworks for consideration. There is no fee to submit. All forms of expression will be considered. Art must have been created since 2015. Accepted work must be for sale. No giclees. Front Porch Gallery will retain a 40% commission on all sales. Send your images including overall size to jweaverling@frontporch.net
