CALL TO ARTISTS
Second Act
Exhibit dates: January 23 – March 5, 2022
Front Porch Gallery seeks submissions from artists making art as part of their own Second Act. We first did this exhibition in 2018 and it was so well received it is time to do it again!
What is a second act? It may be defined as:
Something a person devotes his life to later in life, after retiring or quitting his original occupation
Did you spend some or all of your career in another field? Doctor, lawyer, scientist, teacher? Maybe you were in the commercial art world or in sales or management? Had you always wanted to make art but were too busy supporting a family and finally had time to give it a go? Are you returning to a passion from your youth? Did you discover you were an artist and never really knew it or explored it as an option? Whatever your story, we want to hear from you! We have seen many wonderful artists over the years who started out doing something other than art who became devoted, successful
creatives.
We invite you to submit 3 original 2D/3D artworks for consideration. There is no fee to submit. All forms of expression are invited. Art must have been created since 2018 and must be original. Accepted work must be for sale. Height limit is 7 feet. Front Porch Gallery will retain a 40% commission on all sales. Send your images w/titles and overall size to jweaverling@frontporch.net

We believe that “Art Creates Community”, and we hope to create more vibrant, vital communities by sharing stories through art.
