CALL FOR ARTISTS for a transformative exhibition at the San Diego Mesa College Art Gallery, curated by the Museum Studies class. OPEN TO ALL. NO FEES. Pride and Protest: A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Love and Activism THEME: We are looking for art that celebrates and supports LGBTQIA+ identity and its expressions, as a labor of love and activism. Artworks that embody the cathartic nature of creativity within the queer community. Artworks that address the past, present and future of love and liberation and that celebrate self-discovery and existence as an act of resistance. We encourage all artists to participate and submit their artworks. We accept all media.

Notification: Artists will be notified by Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Delivery of Artwork: Wed., October 12 - Thurs., October 13, 10am - 6pm or Fri., October 14, 2022, 10am- 4pm. Eligibility: Open to all emerging and established artists residing in the region. All media are accepted including sculpture, video, soundscapes, two-dimensional work, performance, installation. Original artwork only, please. And we request that your artwork be ready to hang and install. Fees: No fees to apply. We do not have a budget for any material costs for this exhibition, therefore work must be funded, produced, and delivered by the artist.
