Oceanside Museum of Art is seeking a Neurodiversity Consultant to guide the development and implementation of an upcoming exhibition and affiliated programs being produced in partnership with The Art of Autism which will feature artwork by neurodivergent artists. The consultant will provide expertise and guidance to ensure the exhibition and associated programs are accessible, engaging, and inclusive for neurodivergent visitors, and help develop opportunities for the general public to gain awareness and celebrate the contributions of individuals with autism.
The Art of Autism: A Different Lens exhibition will highlight the unique creativity and perspectives of neurodivergent artists while offering a welcoming environment for all visitors. The consultant will assist museum staff to design a sensory-friendly, cognitively accessible gallery experience, as well as develop community resource outreach strategies, public programming, and support the education team with a third-grade formal educational curriculum.

Proposal Requirements
Please include in your submission:
● A cover letter outlining your qualifications and interest in the project.
● A brief proposal (not to exceed 4 pages) to include examples of previous relevant projects, and timeline for completing the scope of work.
● Request for compensation not to exceed $4,000
● Additional resources (eg. for implementing experiential gallery design) not to exceed $1,000.
● Three professional references
