Event Description Join us for a virtual discussion between internationally-based exhibition artists participating in Transformative Currents: Art and Action in the Pacific Ocean, moderated by exhibition lead curator Cassandra Coblentz. The exhibition organization was modeled on the idea of dynamic interconnected ocean currents. Artists Irwan Ahmett & Tita Salina, Jake Atienza & Martha Atienza, Alex Monteith & Maree Sheehan, and Paul Rosero Contreras will discuss four key themes, or “transformative currents,” that flow through all their work on view in the exhibition. Off The Wall is a conversation series that brings together community leaders, artists, and curators to engage in discussions about current affairs affecting the creative health and well-being of our region, both now and in the future. Event Description Drop-in session of uninstructed screen time! Need to print shirts for a youth group, totes for your book club, or original prints to sell? You'll have access to single station presses, a limited number of 4-color presses, squeegees, flash dryers, washout sink, and water-based ink screen cleaner. Bring your already burned screen, water-based ink, and blanks. Gloves and apron are recommended. Screen printing experience is required. Staff will be on site to help with general questions, but no instruction is included with these sessions. All participants are required to clean the equipment they use and leave the studio as they found it. 10am-1pm.
