Event Description |
Carl Brown has been a fiber artist for 6 years, though he has led a very fulfilling life prior to owning his first sewing machine. In this presentation, Carl will talk about his career as a Cancer Nurse for over 30 years with stops along the way and how he accidentally made it to fiber art. Carl will share his transition from making traditional quilts to the artistic world of Improv quilting where he mostly works now. He’ll also share some important lessons he’s learned both in life and in fiber art. He will be giving the lecture remotely, but this lecture will also be recorded and available for viewing after the lecture. Carl's lecture is part of a 3-part lecture series featuring artists Charlotte Bird (11/17/24) and Luana Rubin (1/21/25). |
