Event Description Using gold paint to enhance our compositions of people and places we will use Klimt’s style of glittering color and intermittent geometric shapes. Some 3-D mosaics will be available for a more tactile illusion. What is Taste of Art? Kick off your weekend with a bite-sized happy hour version of our renowned Studio Arts workshops. Gather with friends in an artistic space designed to amplify your creative side. Join arts educator Robin Douglas, as we dip our toes into the work of celebrated artists over drinks and nibbles, followed by a rapid demonstration of their styles. You’ll then be guided to interpret these artists and create your own singular, spectacular work of art. We’ll help you express your unique style and ensure you have a blast doing it. All levels of experience are encouraged to participate. OMA provides food, drinks, and supplies; all you have to do is get yourself out of work, grab your friends, and have fun!

Event Description Oolong Gallery presents the luminous minimalism of Udo Nöger and is pleased to show new work from his body of monochrome paintings based on a career spanning forty years around the globe. Known for his highly minimalistic compositions, Nöger's sculptural paintings and works on paper emanate a subtle yet powerful visual reaction that transforms with changing light, offering an immersive experience for viewers. Born in Enger, Germany, in 1961, Nöger began with expressive figurative paintings before shifting his focus to the interplay of light and space in the mid-1990s. His work evolved from the use of archaic symbols and iconography—sparked by his travels, including a formative visit to Easter Island—towards a more abstract language. Over time, his use of dark, earthy tones gradually gave way to a near-absence of color, creating works that invite viewers to consider not just what is seen, but also the light itself.
