Event Description Ready to dive into the art of jewelry making? In this beginner-friendly workshop, learn the essentials of bead stringing and basic wire wrapping techniques to create custom jewelry. By the end, you’ll have designed and crafted a beautiful necklace, a stretchy beaded bracelet, and a pair of dangling beaded earrings! We’ll also explore key elements of jewelry design, including color schemes, proportions and wearability, to help you create pieces that are both on trend and unique. Plus, you’ll learn the best materials to use, ensuring your creations are built to last. Walk away with both new skills and gorgeous jewelry that is truly one of a kind. All materials are provided. Event Description Theme Vermillion: made from powdered cinnabar. This ancient color was a favorite of the Venetian painter, Titian. It ranges from bright orange-red to a duller reddish purple. Our closest version of this is Cadmium Red. Have some fun with this variable hue. ​To be eligible for the show you only need to make the vermilion prominent; it does not have to be dominant. ​ Enter your art submissions online digitally or drop off in-person at the gallery. Must be original art and the artist's own work. We do not accept any AI-created artwork, installations, or reproductions/giclee prints (except for photography or printmaking which utilizes limited edition prints due to the nature of the medium). Must be for sale.
