Opening Days Both artists on display now. Gallery Hours: Wed-Sun 11am - 5pm
Event Description Both born in 1924, Howard Koslow & Clay Walker dedicated their lives to art - yet their paths could not have been more different. They exemplify the diversity of American art in the 20th century. Howard Koslow, born in Brooklyn, NY, built his reputation in the commercial arts. A skilled illustrator & painter in acrylics; recognized for his advertising work & acclaimed designs for the U.S. Postal Service. His precise, representational style bridged fine art & advertising, bringing imagery to a broad national audience. Clay Walker, born in Kentucky, pursued a life immersed in fine art & education. A mid-modern artist, Walker’s practice spanned oils, woodcuts, etching & sculpture; experimentation & abstraction. He dedicated his life to teaching art, influencing generations of students. Together, Koslow & Walker embody two distinct yet complementary facets of American art: one rooted in public service & commercial visibility, the other in personal expression & educational legacy.
