Event Description |
Elena Karavodin is proud to present a solo exhibition of her artwork featuring figurative oil paintings. Her paintings are rooted and inspired by her own personal experiences as an adolescent, woman, and mother. “Now” is her first hometown solo exhibition, at the Encinitas Community Center. Before opening to the public, the City of Encinitas cited eleven separate artworks for obscenity and removed them from the show indefinitely. Elena Karavodin’s artwork features figurative studies of women. She draws from inspirations and absurdities observed from human nature, the feminine experience and random situations that we find ourselves in. Please join Elena Karavodin on Saturday, July 31 from 6-9pm at the Encinitas Community Center for a free reception of her censored art, “Now”. The reception will include a meet and greet with the artist, music, snacks and drinks. |
