Join Instructor Helen Shafer Garcia and focus on contemporary watermedia approaches including the “dropped in color” technique which incorporates luminosity and brilliance in painting. It’s an exploratory, wet approach to painting which allows colors to blend and fuse without making “mud”. Work with other contemporary experimental painting techniques including mark making and surface textures to create glaze layers in exploratory compositions. Acrylic ink pours and collage will be introduced for a mixed media effect. Pigment characteristics, color theory, composition, and design will also be covered with demos, critiques and individual instruction. |
