Event Description Join us for this special holiday glass workshop – just in time for Christmas! Instructor Suzanne Balestri will show you how to create a fused glass Christmas tree scene (and stand) to display on your mantel or table. Suzanne will provide instructions on cutting tree branches, creating glass tinsel, and construction methods so your tree “pops up”! Or, if you’d rather, you’re welcome to create holiday ornaments in a variety of sizes and shapes.

Event Description Join us on Saturday, December 9 from 6:00-8:30 pm for our final Open Studios of 2023, featuring a special guest performance by celebrated San Diego-based Malashock Dance Company! Dancer and choreographer Jessica Rabanzo- Flores, and composer and musician Rann Golamco will present an excerpt from a longer work entitled “she is what she is and she is whole.” Be sure to tour our visual artist studios, catch other live performances by our resident musicians, grab a bite to eat at Tacoland SD taco truck, and mingle with fellow guests and artists alike. Many artists will also have a piece for sale in an onsite mini-gallery. As always, entry is free. Please take special note that our hours are different this time. Event Description Over the course of two-full days dedicated to artistic creation, you will acquire technical expertise and collage composition skills while harnessing your creative intuition to craft a truly unique encaustic collage. Traditional collage relies mainly on adhering paper to a surface using glue. However, encaustic collage elevates this art form by employing encaustic medium to fuse paper and occasionally mounting three-dimensional assemblage objects. In this course we’re taking collage a step further, delving into incorporating encaustic monotypes into your work to creative distinctive and original imagery. Think of it as collage on an unique creative journey.
