Event Description THE CROW SHOW 2024 is the celebratory 10th anniversary of the national exhibition of visual arts running March 1 - 30, 2024 produced by The Studio Door.

Free to the public. No reservation required. We encourage your support through the purchase of the artists' artworks.

This exhibition had become a San Diego tradition bringing artists from across the nation to celebrate our feathered neighbor, the Crow. Having taken on mythological importance, Crows appear in all parts of the world. In folklore, they may foreshadow tragedy or usher in good news. The reality is a highly intelligent bird capable of social interactions. In recent years, the crow has become a muse to many artists. This annual exhibition seeks to represent the many faces of the Crow in reality

Event Description R.B. Stevenson Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition "Luminous Contemplations" featuring new paintings by Arizona artist David Ivan Clark and glass sculpture by San Diego artist Deanne Sabeck. David Ivan Clark paintings hover in the space between romantic landscape and weathered industrial artifact. They dwell in limbo, each marking the spot where nostalgia collides with fact, where celebration and elegy converge. From a distance the paintings present land, sky and nothing more. sky and nothing more. Held up to the turbulent flux of the mechanized world, they offer refuge. As one draws near, however, bucolic illusion becomes fugitive: deep space collapses to surface; distant horizon reverts to paint, pitted and scoured; serene haven, glimpsed as if on film, old, grainy and scratched, dissolves to abstraction. Deanne Sabeck's series of glass sculptural objects are both mysterious and contemplative. Oculus meaning eye, and enigma meaning mysterious or difficult to understand.
