Event Description |
Collaborative expressive arts project: create 1/many Spirit Flags—a symbolic piece that weaves together personal reflection, creativity, community healing. Using fabric as your canvas (6” x 10” with 1” reserved for folding over a clothesline later), design your flag with cut-out collaged shapes, stitched or glued, to represent your journey as a patient, healer, practitioner, care provider or, yes, human. Inspired by anthropologist Angeles Arrien’s 5 Universal Shapes, reflect where you are now, the resources that have supported you, and the changes, growth, aspirations guiding your path forward. Spirit Flags will be displayed at 2025 National Symposium for Palliative Care Education & Research, June 2–4 at CSUSM, San Marcos, CA. Symposium theme: 'It Takes a Village'. Together, our Spirit Flags will form The Village of the Integrated Healing Community, alongside flags created by local patients, a shared journey of resilience & transformation. https://csupalliativecare.org/symposium/ |
