This list has been compiled to help collectors find emerging artists still in school and there is an opportunity to see some of San Diego's best artists who are faculty at these school. There is a chance but no guarantee that some of these student works will be for sale and inexpensive thus a good place to start or add to a collection. This list was compiled with the help of many people including Andrea Chamberlin, Ana Paola, Jude Mathis and Patricia Frischer. To our knowledge there are never any fees for these exhibitions. This is a guide and all information should be checked before attendance. Museums (i.e. SD Museum of Art, Oceanside Museum of Art) also offer art classes and some show work through their art associations. Art Association (i.e. San Diego Art Institute, SD Watercolor Society) give classes and have their own gallery spaces.
